About LaboralPedia

LaboralPedia is an independent editorial project about workplace rights, run by Joel Mortes Hortelano from Valencia (Spain). Our goal is simple: help workers understand their situation —a redundancy package, a dismissal, unemployment benefits— without needing a law degree.

How we work

• Official sources first: every guide is checked against GOV.UK, the Department of Labor, the IRS or the relevant official source. Sources are cited in each article.
• Transparent calculators: each tool applies current legal rules and shows the basis of every figure.
• Updates: when a rule changes (for example, annual pay caps), we update the guide and the calculator.
• Independence: we are not affiliated with any government body or company mentioned. The project is funded by advertising (Google AdSense), which does not influence the content.
